Catholic Care has launched its new three-year strategy to provide focused, compassionate care to people living in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
In the 2023-24 Year in Review, Executive Director Helen Emmerson said:
“I want to reflect on the new Diocesan Pastoral Plan and seize opportunities to refine and sharpen our scope of services so we can effectively deliver holistic, integrated and compassionate support to more people.
“This includes bolstering our family and counselling services, as well as supporting those experiencing family and domestic violence in our community.”
Helen said it was important to also “strengthen our long-standing name and reputation in the community, so people know where to turn when it feels like every door has been closed on them.”
The new Strategy 2024-2027 aims to address these matters, providing a pragmatic way forward to do Christ’s work in our community.
As reflected by Catholic Care’s new Mission: We connect people and families to enable them to be supported and live a meaningful life with dignity, purpose, and peace.
