At Catholic Care we provide FREE child care while you are learning to speak English with a qualified trainer, attending Citizenship Classes and other programs.
Children aged 0 weeks to 5 years are nurtured in our Mamre Creche to support you while you are participating in one of the group’s programs.
Mamre Creche operates 9.50 am – 2:00 pm Tuesday & Wednesday and 9:50 am – 12:00 pm Thursday during school terms.
No matter who you are, where you come from or what you might be going through, you are welcome at Catholic Care.
Our centres host a variety of groups, classes and types of support, with people from all backgrounds, cultures and walks of life. Groups and schedules vary week to week, so check in with your local centre for the latest information.
As well as our existing programs, we also support people looking to make new groups or run new activities. If you’re interested in coordinating an existing group, or would like to talk more about starting a new initiative, we’d love to hear from you.

On Mondays, I run a yarning circle, where everyone sits and talks about their day. We share stories, and people talk about what’s happening in their life – it’s a nice way for people to connect.
On Wednesdays, we have our sisterhood group for young mums. Back in the day, I coordinated didgeridoo lessons for young Aboriginal boys, as well as guitar lessons for boys and girls. We also have a financial counselling service for people struggling to pay their bills, and a grief counselling service. There’s support for everyone.
